Olimond BB – to support the intestinal flora and the immune system
Olimond BB is a supplementary feed and the product of a special fermentation and gentle drying of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and is therefore an inactivated yeast that does not cause any fermentation processes in the horse's gastrointestinal tract. The important yeast factors, B vitamins and fermentation products are retained.
The difference to other yeast products is that the very important metabolites of the yeasts do not have to be formed in the horse's stomach first, but precisely these metabolites are fed with Olimond BB in optimal quantities.
Olimond BB is a postbiotic that passes the horse's stomach with its aggressive gastric acid and the small intestine unharmed. Instead, Olimond BB enters the horse's large intestine,where it serves as food for the "good" and important microorganisms of the intestinal flora. Horses can break down their roughage much better when given Olimond BB. In this way, the utilization of all nutrients can be improved. This can lead to the muscles being better supplied, especially under stress. The lactic acid content in the blood is lower after training and the recovery phases are shorter. Heavy feeders gain weight faster without having to be fed high-energy concentrates.

Dietary supplement with the extra portion of vitamin E
In addition to the vitamins already contained, Olimond BB also contains an extra portion of vitamin E. Unfortunately, this valuable antioxidant, which has anti-inflammatory properties and is good for muscle metabolism, is often neglected in horse feeding. In the wild, horses have met their vitamin E needs mainly from oily grass seeds. Vitamin E is known as a performance vitamin and cell protection vitamin. It helps to keep the blood vessels and liver healthy, has positive effects on inflammatory processes in the joints, muscles and in laminitis or tendon injuries. Long-term vitamin E deficiency can cause damage to skeletal and cardiac muscles. The immune system can also be affected.
The sensitively coordinated system of the intestine can be thrown out of balance quickly and in the long term. Improper feeding, long breaks in eating, illnesses (resulting from poor nutrition), administration of medication and stress are just some of the reasons that clearly show the effects of a damaged gut such as skin, hair and coat problems, watery stool, diarrhea and weight loss. In addition, there are problems that are not immediately visible, such as exhaustion, reduced performance and an unbalanced immune system.
Olimond BB is fed once a day at a dose of approximately 15 grams pure or with other manger feed. It supports an optimal intestinal flora and a balanced immune system. The tasty power yeast should be fed for at least four to six weeks. Continuous feeding is recommended. Olimond BB does not replace a diet tailored to the individual horse, which should always be based on sufficient quantities of good quality roughage.
